What: Big Block Party

What to Bring: Guests are asked to simply contribute what the residents do. That means $15 per person AND a contribution to our pot luck dinner--enough for you and a few other people to share.

Note: In recent years, our block party has grown from being a 'resident-only' type of thing to being a 'more the merrier' type of thing. More people usually make for a better party, but we need our guests to pitch in if we're to keep the block party sustainable. So it's really important that you do bring what we ask you to so that we can cover our costs, have enough food at dinner, and keep inviting guests in the future. No one likes to ask their friends to pony up when they invite them to a party. That's why we're doing it for them via this website. Please don't make them ask you to do you share. Just show up with your pot luck dinner dish and throw your $15 in the piggy bank. Or better yet, donate in advance (details below):

Donate: Because it's too late to make adjustments on the day of the party, it really helps if everyone donates in advance so we have an idea of how many are coming and have the funds to get everything first. You can donate online with your credit card:

 

The 'amount' field is left open. Please use $15 per person as a guideline, but ultimately, this is a donation and is at your discretion. If you're just stopping by for an hour, you can donate less. If you're the kind of person that is going to show up an hour before it starts and leave an hour after it ends and consume your body weight in beer througout the day, then a bit more may be in order ;-)
